Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of numnum, including the numnum mobile application, website, subscription features, chef tools, recipe content, support services, and related services. numnum ("numnum," "we," "us," or "our") is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates and may operate or provide services in the United Arab Emirates, United States, Canada, Kuwait, and other countries where numnum becomes available. By creating an account, accessing numnum, using numnum, subscribing, submitting content, publishing recipes, clicking "I agree," checking an acceptance box, continuing to use numnum after these Terms are presented, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use numnum.

2. Electronic Acceptance

You agree that these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Chef Publishing Agreement, subscription notices, checkout confirmations, account notices, and other electronic records may be provided electronically. You agree that clicking, tapping, checking a box, creating an account, subscribing, accepting the Chef Publishing Agreement, or continuing to use numnum may create a legally binding electronic acceptance, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

3. Other Policies

These Terms should be read together with our: Privacy Policy: https://www.numnumapp.com/privacy Chef Publishing Agreement: https://www.numnumapp.com/chef-agreement, if you use chef features Any subscription, billing, refund, cancellation, payout, or support notices shown inside numnum If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Chef Publishing Agreement for chef-specific matters, the Chef Publishing Agreement will apply to those chef-specific matters.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use numnum. numnum is not designed for children, family-directed use, or users under 13. If the laws in your location require a higher minimum age or parental consent, you are responsible for complying with those requirements. By using numnum, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

5. Account Registration

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • provide accurate and complete information
  • keep your account information up to date
  • keep your login credentials confidential
  • be responsible for all activity under your account

notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. We may refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts where we believe there is fraud, abuse, misuse, security risk, legal risk, payment risk, violation of these Terms, violation of other numnum policies, or any other legitimate operational concern.

6. Account Roles

numnum may support different account roles, including customer accounts, chef accounts, and admin accounts. Customer accounts may access recipe, subscription, favorite, allergy preference, meal calendar, and related app features. Chef accounts may access chef profile, recipe submission, recipe publishing, chef agreement, payout, and related chef features. Admin accounts may access administrative tools for operating, moderating, securing, and managing numnum. You may not access or attempt to access features, data, tools, or roles that you are not authorized to use.

7. Free and Premium Access

numnum may offer free and paid features. Free access may be limited and may include only selected content or functionality. Premium access may require an active paid subscription and may include additional recipe, personalization, meal planning, or app features. We may change, add, remove, restrict, suspend, or update free or premium features at any time, subject to applicable law.

8. Subscriptions

numnum may offer subscription plans, including monthly, six-month, annual, or other plans. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize numnum and its payment processor to charge the applicable subscription fees, taxes, and charges using your selected payment method. Subscription details, price, billing period, currency, renewal terms, and included features will be shown at checkout or inside the app. Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You are responsible for reviewing your subscription plan, renewal date, price, currency, and cancellation options.

9. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor. numnum does not store full payment card numbers or full card security codes. Stripe or another payment processor may collect, process, store, and verify payment information according to its own terms, privacy policy, and compliance requirements. We may store payment-related records such as subscription status, payment status, Stripe customer ID, Stripe subscription ID, transaction ID, payment amount, currency, refund status, cancellation status, failed payment status, and billing history.

10. Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription through the app or by following the cancellation instructions provided by numnum. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law, cancelling a subscription does not automatically provide a refund for the current paid period. After cancellation, premium access may continue until the end of the paid billing period. If your subscription was purchased through an app store or third-party platform in the future, cancellation may need to be completed through that platform.

11. Refunds

Refund requests may be sent to: billing@numnumapp.com Refund eligibility may depend on the circumstances, your subscription status, payment history, applicable law, and the payment method or platform used. Unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by numnum:

  • subscription fees are not automatically refundable
  • partial use of a subscription period may not qualify for a refund
  • cancellation stops future renewal but does not automatically refund prior charges

failure to use the service during a paid period does not automatically create refund eligibility; dissatisfaction with recipe availability, recipe preferences, chef content, or personal taste does not automatically create refund eligibility. If numnum approves a full refund, premium access may be removed immediately. If numnum approves a partial refund, premium access may continue unless numnum states otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory refund or consumer protection rights that apply in your country or region.

12. Failed Payments and Chargebacks

If a payment fails, we may retry the payment, ask you to update your payment method, suspend premium access, cancel the subscription, or restrict access to paid features. You are responsible for keeping your payment method valid and up to date. If you believe a charge is incorrect, you agree to contact billing@numnumapp.com first so we can try to resolve the issue. We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent payments, repeated failed payments, unauthorized payment use, chargeback abuse, refund abuse, or payment disputes submitted in bad faith.

13. Price Changes

We may change subscription prices, plan features, currencies, or billing options. Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice of material price changes before they take effect. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price applies.

14. Chef Accounts

Chefs may create chef accounts and submit recipes or related content. Before using chef publishing features, chefs may be required to accept the Chef Publishing Agreement. Chefs are responsible for:

  • ensuring submitted content is accurate and lawful
  • having rights to submit recipes, images, text, and related content
  • avoiding plagiarism or unauthorized copying
  • providing accurate ingredient and preparation information

complying with food safety, consumer protection, advertising, intellectual property, tax, and other applicable laws; complying with the Chef Publishing Agreement. numnum may review, approve, reject, edit, hide, suspend, or remove chef content where appropriate.

15. Chef Payouts

numnum may offer chef payout features based on formulas, subscription revenue, recipe performance, ratings, reviews, or other factors determined by numnum. Chef payout rules may be described in the Chef Publishing Agreement, app interface, or admin settings. Payout estimates are not guaranteed until approved and processed. No chef is guaranteed any minimum earnings, minimum payout, fixed income, or continued payout eligibility. Payouts may be adjusted, delayed, held, reduced, or denied for refunds, chargebacks, fraud, errors, policy violations, tax requirements, legal requirements, unavailable payment details, suspicious activity, disputed content, or other legitimate business reasons. numnum may change chef payout formulas or payout rules prospectively, subject to applicable law and any applicable chef agreement terms.

16. No Employment, Partnership, or Agency

Chefs, contributors, and users are independent from numnum. Nothing in these Terms or the Chef Publishing Agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, joint venture, or representative relationship between numnum and any chef, contributor, or user. Chefs are not employees of numnum.

17. Recipe Content

Recipes and related content on numnum are provided for general culinary and informational purposes only. Recipe content may include ingredients, preparation steps, images, cooking times, cost estimates, allergy information, nutrition information, or other details. Recipe information may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, substitutions, regional variations, ingredient differences, cross-contamination risks, or preparation mistakes. You are responsible for checking ingredients, product labels, preparation methods, cooking temperatures, allergy risks, cross-contamination risks, and professional advice before preparing or consuming food.

18. Allergies, Dietary Preferences, and Food Safety

numnum may allow users to save allergies, dietary restrictions, or food preferences. numnum uses this information to help personalize the app experience, but numnum does not guarantee that any recipe is safe for any allergy, dietary restriction, medical condition, pregnancy-related restriction, religious requirement, or personal preference. Important:

  • numnum is not a medical service
  • numnum is not a nutrition service
  • numnum does not provide medical advice
  • numnum does not guarantee allergen-free recipes

numnum does not guarantee that ingredient, allergen, nutrition, cost, or preparation information is complete or accurate;

  • numnum does not guarantee against cross-contamination

numnum does not verify every chef statement, recipe claim, ingredient source, or nutrition detail; users with allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy-related restrictions, religious dietary requirements, or special dietary needs should consult qualified professionals. You knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks associated with preparing, handling, cooking, serving, and consuming food based on recipe information available through numnum.

19. User Reviews, Ratings, and Content

Users may be able to submit ratings, reviews, comments, profile information, or other content. You are responsible for content you submit. You agree not to submit content that is:

  • unlawful
  • false or misleading
  • defamatory
  • abusive, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory
  • obscene or inappropriate
  • infringing on intellectual property or privacy rights
  • spam, advertising, or unauthorized promotion
  • harmful to numnum, users, chefs, or third parties

unsafe, dangerous, or encouraging harmful conduct. We may moderate, edit, hide, reject, remove, or refuse user content at our discretion, with or without notice, subject to applicable law.

20. Content License

You keep ownership of content you submit, subject to the license granted below. By submitting, uploading, posting, or publishing content on numnum, including recipes, images, text, reviews, ratings, profile content, chef content, and suggestions, you grant numnum a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, modify, format, translate, promote, create derivative works from, and otherwise use that content for operating, improving, marketing, securing, and promoting numnum. This license continues for as long as reasonably necessary to operate numnum, comply with law, maintain records, resolve disputes, preserve evidence, enforce agreements, and support platform functionality. For chef content, additional license terms may apply under the Chef Publishing Agreement.

21. Feedback

If you provide ideas, feedback, suggestions, improvements, bug reports, feature requests, or other recommendations, you allow numnum to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

22. numnum Intellectual Property

numnum owns or licenses the app, website, software, design, branding, trademarks, logos, features, workflows, databases, text, graphics, and other materials provided by numnum. Except as expressly allowed by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, scrape, mirror, frame, or exploit numnum or any part of the service.

23. Limited License to Use numnum

Subject to these Terms, numnum grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use numnum for your personal use or authorized chef use. You may not:

  • copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app or service
  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • bypass security or access controls
  • scrape, crawl, harvest, or collect data without permission
  • use numnum for unlawful or harmful purposes
  • interfere with platform operation
  • upload malicious code
  • impersonate another person
  • use another person's account without permission
  • access admin, chef, or paid features without authorization
  • use bots, scripts, automation, or data extraction tools without written permission

use numnum in a way that violates applicable law.

24. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use numnum to:

  • violate any law or regulation
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
  • submit false, misleading, harmful, unsafe, or unlawful content
  • harass, abuse, threaten, or harm others
  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • interfere with app security or operation
  • conduct fraud, chargeback abuse, refund abuse, or payment abuse
  • upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • scrape, crawl, or extract data without permission
  • resell or commercially exploit numnum without permission
  • misrepresent your identity, chef status, qualifications, or affiliation

use numnum to compete with numnum or build a similar service using numnum content, data, or functionality; use numnum in a way that creates legal, operational, security, reputational, or commercial risk to numnum.

25. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to numnum if we believe that:

  • you violated these Terms
  • you violated the Privacy Policy or Chef Publishing Agreement
  • your payment failed
  • you engaged in fraud, abuse, chargeback abuse, refund abuse, or misuse
  • your content is unlawful, unsafe, infringing, or harmful
  • your account creates legal, security, operational, reputational, or payment risk
  • we are required to do so by law

we discontinue a feature or service. We may also remove content, limit features, delay payouts, hold payouts, cancel subscriptions, restrict premium access, or take other reasonable action to protect numnum, users, chefs, service providers, payment processors, or third parties. You may stop using numnum at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Termination may not remove obligations that already arose, including payment obligations, legal obligations, tax obligations, payout adjustments, content licenses, dispute obligations, indemnity obligations, and provisions intended to survive termination.

26. App Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, limit, replace, or discontinue any part of numnum at any time. We do not guarantee that numnum will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may perform maintenance, updates, security fixes, testing, or changes without prior notice. We are not responsible for losses caused by downtime, data delays, third-party failures, payment processor issues, internet outages, device issues, app store issues, or events outside our reasonable control, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

27. Third-Party Services

numnum may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment processors, hosting providers, authentication providers, email providers, analytics providers, app stores, device platforms, or external websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, terms, privacy practices, availability, security, outages, decisions, refunds, payment delays, app store rules, account restrictions, or disputes. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

28. Third-Party and User Disputes

numnum is not responsible for disputes between:

  • users and chefs
  • users and other users
  • chefs and other chefs
  • users and payment providers
  • users and app stores or device platforms
  • users and third-party services

chefs and third-party payout or tax providers. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you release numnum from claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from disputes with other users, chefs, payment processors, app stores, third-party services, or third parties.

29. Disclaimers

numnum is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, numnum disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted service, security, and error-free operation. numnum does not guarantee:

  • that recipes will meet your needs

that recipes are safe for allergies, medical conditions, religious requirements, or personal dietary preferences; that nutrition, ingredient, cost, preparation, or allergen information is complete or accurate;

  • that chef content or user content is error-free
  • that chef payouts will occur or reach any amount
  • that premium features will always remain unchanged
  • that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free

that third-party services will function without disruption.

30. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, numnum, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, suppliers, licensors, affiliates, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or reputational damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, business, revenue, savings, opportunity, or other intangible losses. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, numnum will not be liable for damages arising from:

  • recipe use
  • food preparation
  • food consumption
  • allergies or dietary issues
  • chef content
  • user content
  • inaccurate recipe, nutrition, cost, or allergen information
  • subscription interruption
  • account suspension
  • payment failure
  • refund denial
  • payout delay
  • third-party services
  • unauthorized account access
  • app downtime
  • data loss
  • security incidents beyond our reasonable control

events outside our reasonable control. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, numnum's total liability for any claim relating to numnum or these Terms will be limited to the amount you paid to numnum for the service in the three months before the claim arose, or USD $100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

31. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless numnum, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, suppliers, licensors, affiliates, and partners from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to:

  • your use of numnum
  • your content
  • your recipes, reviews, ratings, images, or submissions
  • your food preparation, handling, service, or consumption
  • your allergy, dietary, medical, or nutrition decisions
  • your breach of these Terms
  • your breach of the Privacy Policy
  • your breach of the Chef Publishing Agreement
  • your violation of law
  • your violation of third-party rights
  • your fraud, misuse, chargeback abuse, refund abuse, or unauthorized activity

activity connected to your account.

32. Force Majeure

numnum will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform due to events outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting failures, payment processor failures, app store failures, cyberattacks, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government actions, legal restrictions, power failures, pandemics, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

33. Local Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection, privacy, payment, or other mandatory laws. Users in the United Arab Emirates, United States, Canada, Kuwait, or other countries may have rights under local laws that apply despite these Terms. If any part of these Terms conflicts with mandatory local law, the mandatory local law will apply only to the extent required.

34. Informal Dispute Resolution

Before starting a legal claim, arbitration, chargeback, regulator complaint, or court proceeding, you agree to first contact us at: legal@numnumapp.com Please include your name, account email, description of the issue, amount involved if any, and the resolution you want. We will try to resolve the issue informally. This section does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief, protecting intellectual property, complying with legal obligations, or taking action where immediate harm may occur.

35. Arbitration Agreement

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising out of or relating to numnum, these Terms, subscriptions, payments, refunds, chef payouts, recipe content, user content, account access, or your use of the service will be resolved by final and binding arbitration, rather than in court. The seat of arbitration will be Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The language of arbitration will be English. The arbitration will be conducted by one arbitrator unless the parties agree otherwise or the applicable arbitration rules require otherwise. The arbitration rules and institution should be determined by numnum acting reasonably, unless mandatory applicable law requires another forum, institution, or process. Either party may seek urgent injunctive or equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect intellectual property, confidential information, platform security, payment integrity, user safety, or prevent irreparable harm. If arbitration is not enforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be handled by the courts described in the Governing Law and Courts section, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

36. Class Action and Representative Action Waiver

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you and numnum agree that disputes will be handled only on an individual basis. You agree not to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, representative action, private attorney general action, consolidated action, or similar proceeding against numnum. An arbitrator or court may not combine more than one person's claims or otherwise preside over a class, collective, representative, or consolidated proceeding, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

37. Time Limit for Claims

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, any claim arising out of or relating to numnum, these Terms, subscriptions, payments, refunds, chef payouts, recipe content, user content, account access, or your use of the service must be filed within one year after the claim arose. If a claim is not filed within that period, it is permanently barred. This time limit does not apply where mandatory law requires a longer period.

38. Governing Law and Courts

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory laws in your location require otherwise. Subject to the arbitration section, disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, unless mandatory laws in your location require another forum or process.

39. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable part will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, where permitted by law.

40. No Waiver

If numnum does not enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean numnum waives the right to enforce it later.

41. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without numnum's prior written consent. numnum may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, corporate transaction, change of control, or operation of the business.

42. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Chef Publishing Agreement, and any subscription or billing notices shown to you, form the entire agreement between you and numnum regarding the service.

43. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by email, in-app notice, website notice, or another appropriate method. The updated Terms will be effective when posted, unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of numnum after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
